Last weekend we went to the yearly international fishing tournament that is held at the fishing port just 20 minutes from where we live. Here are some of the first catches of the tournament. The first fish is called a Sun Fish and weighed around 60 lbs. The second one is a Marlin (popular fish tacos here are tacos de Marlin-a strong flavor) which took third place overall weighing 153 lbs. Other fish caught were
Dorados which have golden scales on the sides of their bodies and tuna that weighed in, smallest, at 45 lbs. The biggest fish that broke records from 30 years ago was caught the next day. However, the group was disqualified because they arrived 15 minutes past the allotted time (due to the enormous size and weight and trouble of trying to catch, lure and pull in the fish). You can see yourself how big that puppy was.
